You have a track record of success in laying the foundation (in spreadsheets of course) for how a game feels and plays. For how it twists and turns so the player can enjoy a rhythmic game experience that is both captivating and rewarding.
You are a collaborative team player who can work effectively with cross-functional teams, including game design, UX, marketing, UA, data, player support and engineering. You have a passion for being highly organized, thoughtful, communicative, and most of all collaborative.
You’ve taken a mobile game full-cycle from design to live release and then into live service. Overall, you love being a results-driven, balance master who is committed to delivering exceptional player experiences while driving revenue growth for EverForest - our play-to-plant mobile game!
YOUR ROLE & IMPACT AS SENIOR GAME ECONOMY DESIGNER
You are responsible for every number in the game. The main game and LTE economies: the items, quantity and prices of everything in the in-game store, the difficulty curve, the pinch points, the quests, the real world tree economy, leaderboards, the relative value of everything in $USD…. It’s all yours. We will help build you the tools you need to execute a compelling game experience, informed by data and tuned to feel. You will be working closest with and greatly supported by the Executive Producer, Senior Game Designer and SVP, Product.
Role overview:
Design and Implement Game Economy Systems: Develop and balance in-game economic models, including currencies, resources, and progression mechanics, to enhance player engagement and monetization.
Player Progression & Meta Game Balance: Design and iterate on player progression systems to ensure an optimal experience and maintain economic health over time.
Data Analysis: Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) and player feedback to refine game balance and optimize features.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with game designers, artists, and developers to ensure economic considerations are seamlessly integrated into all aspects of game development.
Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation and spreadsheet models to effectively track and manage economic systems.
Market Awareness: Stay updated on modern mobile free-to-play (F2P) market trends and incorporate relevant insights to improve the game.
Player Focused: Craft experiences that are enjoyable to a range of player types, while monetizing on specific segments. Balances should be both easy to engage but deep enough for core players to strategically min/max.

Business Orientation: Manufacture pinch points in the game around specific currencies at appropriate times and provide targeted solutions for the player that are clear.
Take Initiative: Propose monetization improvements based on AB tests, experiments and data analysis.

Experience working with mobile game analytics platforms (e.g., Adjust, Appsflyer, Firebase) is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
Ability to respond to feedback, analyze test results, and propose logical solutions to improve existing economic systems.
